Magnolia mystery quilt 2018

Hello my quilty friends.  Today's quilt is a Meadow Mist designs-Mystery quilt. This one is the Magnolia Mystery quilt 2017-2018.
If you have never have done a mystery quilt along....you have to! They are so much fun watching the quilt come to life with each months new instructions. This is the 2nd mystery quilt that I have done by Cheryl, Here is my first.
My husband helping .
Have you ever made a quilt and went MEH....your were proud of it but not crazy about it. This was my MEH quilt....until I got it quilted. Thanks Diane @ Creative Stitching Services!
Now I can not stop looking at it. I love how it turned out. The backing was a perfect choice in my mind.
I used fabric that I had in my stash- Olives flower market. I started this quilt working on the queen size pattern. As you can see in the top photo, it is long and skinny. I decided to make it a twin quilt instead.
Another part of this quilt is I bought pink fabric for the binding at the last minute decided to use black fabric for the binding. I think it was a great choice!
I am now looking forward to another one of Cheryl's mystery quilts. I wonder what her 2018-2019 pattern is going to be.
Thanks for stopping by and until I see you again, Wishing you Quilty Hugs~Heide

  1. I joined the 2016 Midnight Mystery QAL, and like you am sure Cheryl will have another stunner to entice us again in 2018. Yours is lovely, a super combination of fabrics and great binding choice.

  2. I love this version (i'm not sure I've seen one that I haven't liked!). I like the way you've made it so it fills the space> I ummed and aahed about joining this year. Maybe 2019, the pace suits me. I'm definitely not someone who can take on a mystery though!

  5. Beautiful! I love how you took the queen size and made it into a twin and filled the space with blocks. The darker binding is the perfect finish.
