Today I am sharing this cute Halloween wall hanging, called Hester's Hats. I found a kit at the local quilt shop and it kept calling me back. I knew I had to buy it and started it right away! </span></span></span><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4ayPnQW1tyw/YVRD-u4GkYI/AAAAAAAAWL8/Ae_Y8RSGg6o11pZ1r4LMWSfJMF6SDJW3QCLcBGAsYHQ/s1985/3.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1985" data-original-width="1829" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4ayPnQW1tyw/YVRD-u4GkYI/AAAAAAAAWL8/Ae_Y8RSGg6o11pZ1r4LMWSfJMF6SDJW3QCLcBGAsYHQ/w369-h400/3.jpg" width="369" /></a></span></span></span></div><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><br /></span></span></span><p><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">This is my favorite hat. I just love the floral fabric as the background. Most the fabrics in this quilt are Tim Holtz. The only fabric I changed was the black border. The kit had an orange plaid, which I thought was too much. I used a black sparkly fabric.<br /></span></span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GMfMHAWSAhI/YVREpFjb51I/AAAAAAAAWME/r0f2PnYarQAXZbxE233_ydNJqMpwCDQ1gCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/4.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1839" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GMfMHAWSAhI/YVREpFjb51I/AAAAAAAAWME/r0f2PnYarQAXZbxE233_ydNJqMpwCDQ1gCLcBGAsYHQ/w359-h400/4.jpg" width="359" /></a></span></span></span></div><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">In this photo you can see the fun design I chose in the quilting. </span></span></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RLuEeHjSDME/YVRE-rsIiTI/AAAAAAAAWMM/NpURgfMk3QA_KZ5LMRquxUlUNhXMSrUeACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/5.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1522" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RLuEeHjSDME/YVRE-rsIiTI/AAAAAAAAWMM/NpURgfMk3QA_KZ5LMRquxUlUNhXMSrUeACLcBGAsYHQ/w298-h400/5.jpg" width="298" /></a></span></span></span></div><p><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><br />You can really see it on the orange backing. A little something different for you today. I have been trying different patterns to make project bags for my cross stitch. I found this tutorial in YouTube<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g-AgacaHT0&list=FLr22qy4Efz08BQfySISKNeA&index=4"> here.</a> It is a fast and easy project. I am pretty happy with how they turned out. The above is such fun fabric for summer and my strawberry stitching. I have been playing around with a few different patterns and not happy with them. I have about 3 bags in my sewing room that have not turned out, or that are in a time out because they were not working. So to get 4 of these done in about half a day I was super happy. <br /></span></span></span><p></p><p><span style="color: #20124d;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">Here is one that is red white and blue for my Patriotic stitching. I have discover that I can use 14 ct adia and do quite well with that plus using an extra pair of glasses, and a good light 😂. I also enjoy finishing the pieces to use around the house of giving as gifts. These are quick and easy with results after a few nights of stitching in front of the TV. Today I have some fun little projects for you. A friend of mine loves my quilting, yet she doesn't quilt. She is very crafty and I know she could do it, we just live too far apart for me to help her. </span></span></span><p></p><p><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">Well the other day she asked me for some fall place mats. I came up with these. I only made two and two more are on the way. We are doing a barter system for these. She sell Pampered chef and I am getting an Air fryer for the place-mats. I also sent her a turkey pillow cover...SHHHH, that's a surprise! </span></span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cFMzfRRdsL4/X3r1nqnXwwI/AAAAAAAAQKw/898kSbKyt8skIri--a7xr5R0a-E1KWh1wCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/IMG_20201004_075350.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cFMzfRRdsL4/X3r1nqnXwwI/AAAAAAAAQKw/898kSbKyt8skIri--a7xr5R0a-E1KWh1wCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h300/IMG_20201004_075350.jpg" width="400" /></a></span></span></span></div><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><br /></span></span></span><p><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">I was thinking of making the next two place mats brown and green or brown and orange. I got the leaf from<a href="http://www.snowydaysquilting.com/blog/tag/foundation+paper+piecing"> HERE.</a> I used my <a href="https://freshly-pieced-quilt-patterns.myshopify.com/collections/perfect-hsts-and-perfect-geese/products/perfect-geese-templates-1">perfect geese paper template</a>s for the flying geese. These templates make flying geese perfect every time! No wonky geese. The fabric is all from my stash, I did not have to buy anything. <br /></span></span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ut92wbCGs9g/X3r3xiTL0dI/AAAAAAAAQK8/SBGfE0eq9oAyoVGbcHN5eQhu7T0jCcfigCLcBGAsYHQ/s1380/geese.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1380" data-original-width="845" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ut92wbCGs9g/X3r3xiTL0dI/AAAAAAAAQK8/SBGfE0eq9oAyoVGbcHN5eQhu7T0jCcfigCLcBGAsYHQ/w245-h400/geese.jpg" width="245" /></a></span></span></span></div><p><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">Perfect tips on the geese! </span></span></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tBnI_S1qX7c/X3r4GmuoOkI/AAAAAAAAQLE/RwauI1MAueETvhEHz1QdtWdeVtzm66SxwCPcBGAsYHg/s4032/IMG_20201004_075341.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tBnI_S1qX7c/X3r4GmuoOkI/AAAAAAAAQLE/RwauI1MAueETvhEHz1QdtWdeVtzm66SxwCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h300/IMG_20201004_075341.jpg" width="400" /></a></span></span></span></div><p><span style="color: #3d85c6;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: georgia;">I just love how these turned out. Hello my quilty friends. Hope you are all doing well and finding time to sew. As of now I have a visitor in town. My son is here and We are enjoying our time together. Boating, Fishing, playing board games. It is nice to have everyone together. I did find a few minutes to get the last border on this quilt. I saw the <a href="https://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/2020/05/lets-sew-along-this-summer-bee.html">Bee Patriotic quilt along</a> with <a href="https://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/">Lori Holt</a> and thought the squares were super cute and I had the book <a href="https://www.fatquartershop.com/vintage-christmas-book">Vintage Christmas. </a><br />

This is one of my favorite blocks for the 12 that I made. I just love the fabrics. The fabric line I used was called Mackinaw Island by <a href="http://minickandsimpson.blogspot.com/">Minick and Simpson.</a> Such a beautiful line, very hard to find. I bought a fat quarter about 3-4 months ago on line.<br />

I was just tickled that I have the Vintage Chirstmas book and I could use it for something other than a Christmas quilt. Thinking outside of the box. I started to think, What about a Halloween quilt with orange and black fabrics?<br />

<span style="color: #20124d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Hello my quilty friends, I have two pillows for you today. A little bit of decor for the 4th of July. These chairs are in my breezeway and I always like to have a little something to add some color and these are perfect for July. The pattern is from <a href="https://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/2020/06/bee-patriotic-sew-along-week-two.html">Lori Holt- Bee in my Bonnet</a>. I am doing her Bee Patriotic quilt along. The quilt is coming along and I am so excited about it. This pillow was a little extra on her blog. </span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #20124d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Here is a closer look at the dark blue one, all made with scraps. This cutie is headed down the road to my friends front porch. Now I did not use any of <a href="https://www.fatquartershop.com/nsearch/?q=Lori+Holt+sew+simple+shapes">Lori's sew simple shapes</a>. She has a few other cute little projects on I am a paper crafter and happen to have circle and star dies. </span></span></span><br />

<span style="color: #20124d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Here is a closer look at the teal, red and blue pillow, I 💗 this one. Again all made with scraps. </span></span></span><br />

<span style="color: #20124d;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">This is what I will display in breezeway. For the back I did a simple envelope closer so I can just slip it on and off. </span></span></span><br />

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Hello my quilty friends. I have a new finished quilt for you today. It is a 2 fabric Bargello. I used about 1.5 yards of <a href="https://www.fabric.com/buy/0531601/kaufman-effervescence-digital-print-all-over-cobblestone">Kaufman Effervescence.</a> The second fabric is 1.5 yards of an ombre fabric. Sorry I do not remember what I used or where I got it. I used a 3rd fabric in the border and 4th on the back. </span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Here is a look at the Effevescence fabric. You can also see the quilting which was done by my friend at <a href="https://www.facebook.com/longarmquilterdiane/">Creative Stitching Services</a>, she does beautiful work. </span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Here is a closer look at the quilting. I did use a pattern and I will not post the pattern name, you can google two fabric bargello. I just did not like it, too many pages and I did not think it made sense. I ended up doing my own thing to make the pattern. </span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">I carried a bit of the check pattern out into the border. </span></span></span><br />

<span style="color: #351c75; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Hello my quilty friends. I hope you are all doing well. I have a new quilt for you today. This was a free pattern from <a href="https://jordanfabrics.com/pages/cathedral-stars">Jordan fabrics.</a> This was so fun and I just love the pattern. It gives you plenty of room for some beautiful quilting to show. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aEP-qdhbCl8/XnqCVBW3q8I/AAAAAAAAM2A/BCtgxtlJMac83G03HDN2P4pdDgfWaEnQQCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #351c75; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1590" data-original-width="1600" height="397" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aEP-qdhbCl8/XnqCVBW3q8I/AAAAAAAAM2A/BCtgxtlJMac83G03HDN2P4pdDgfWaEnQQCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/5.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: #351c75; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I used a bit of my stash for this one and only bought some fabric for the border and for the beautiful backing too. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zQOCckzESVE/XnqCyeaK56I/AAAAAAAAM2I/TfQrtvGfZ3QsAeeloPUFdW3_YGAceUcHgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="color: #351c75; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1323" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zQOCckzESVE/XnqCyeaK56I/AAAAAAAAM2I/TfQrtvGfZ3QsAeeloPUFdW3_YGAceUcHgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/4.jpg" width="330" /></span></a></div>
<span style="color: #351c75; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Since I used Bonnie and Camille fabric on the front I decided to use the larger flower print on the back. I found this over at <a href="https://www.backsidefabrics.com/">Backside Fabrics.</a> Backside is one of my favorite online shops to find large backing fabric. One of my least favorite things is to 5-6 yards of fabric and figure out how to cut it for my back. My favorite is figure once and send it off! </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="color: #351c75; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">I have not been quilting much due to this little cutie. This is Killian and her big Bro, Guinness is so good with her. We got her from a rescue and she has kept us pretty busy. When I was at work, I would not have a minute to myself until I got her to sleep. </span><br />
<span style="color: #351c75; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: large;">Now with this horrible mess going on, I am home until April 16 or longer. So she is getting lot of attention with all of us home. </span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">Hello my quilty friends. Today I have a colorful quilt for you called <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDPqxS6i-4M">Crown quilt</a>, this pattern is by Jenny over at MSQ. </span></span></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">I made this beauty for my brother out in California. This is one BIG quilt! </span></span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MSXwZ9GgbME/XkcPXUJ8LBI/AAAAAAAAMnM/8E0rEf0o2QkMHGCiWlrd5zGTBXcxH6itwCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1363" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MSXwZ9GgbME/XkcPXUJ8LBI/AAAAAAAAMnM/8E0rEf0o2QkMHGCiWlrd5zGTBXcxH6itwCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/6.jpg" width="340" /></a></span></span></span></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">I love the bright colors next to the white and gray. I used 3 - 5" charm packs of the print and 3- 5" of white and Some yardage of the gray. The fabric is called <a href="https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/detail/114118/robert-kaufman/studio-rk/painterly-petals-charm-pack">Painterly petals by Robert Kaufman</a>. While working with the charm pack I thought the colors were kind of muddy and not as bright as I wanted, but seeing the quilt all together I am very happy with how it looks. I tried very hard not to have the same fabrics in the same block or next to each other in the quilt. </span></span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">I also went out in a snow storm! It was still light out at 5:45PM and the snow looked so pretty and the best thing was I had a snow day the next morning. </span></span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">A look at the backing. I though it was fun and kind of masculine for my brother. I found this a Backside Fabrics, I love their selections and that I do not have to piece a backing. <a href="https://www.backsidefabrics.com/shop/Wide-Quilt-Backings/Shop-by-Color/Blue-Wide-Quilt-Backing/p/108-Geo-Circles-Extra-Wide-Quilt-Backing---Multi-x44763414.htm">Here is what I used.</a> </span></span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="color: #073763;"><span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">This big quilt is going to cost me a small fortune to send to California. Any suggestions, which is the easiest way to get it there?</span></span></span><br />
