Quilted, binded and packed ....

Swoon is read to be shipped down to TX. I finished the binding last week gave it a wash and it is now packed  sitting on my kitchen table  ready to go to the Post office tomorrow.

It is  heading down to Alba TX - Covered in Love. You can read more of why I chose Covered in Love here.

Here is another view of the front, it is quilted with a meandering stipple and the back should make someone very happy because I used a Minky.
I have a quilt that I use all the time while watching TV and it has minky as a backing and I LOVE it! It is super warm when I get a chill and so soft.
Say a little prayer that this makes it down to TX with out the box popping open....I always get nervous about my quilts making it some where. I do have it in a bag with the address in the bag where it is going. So it should make it, I just get nervous.
Thanks for stopping by, until I see you again, Wishing you Quilty Hugs! Heide

  1. Your Swoon quilt is gorgeous! Did you find the minky cooperative as a backing? I often wondered if it's tricky to quilt. I'm sure someone's going to love that quilt. I wondered if mine will make it to TX without popping the box open too, LOL.

  2. I love a minky backed quilt! My couch quilt also has minky and it's so cozy! I also worry when I ship my quilts. I hadn't thought to put the address in the bag as a back up. That's a great idea and I'll have to do that from now on. Thanks!

  4. Beautiful quilt! I just double taped my box for extra security. Mine's going to Kat in Texas, too.

I was touched by your story about your MIL's quilt.

  7. So lovely, I do like your colours. I've never used a minky before. A swoon is on my bucket list, I think it just moved up.

  8. Heide, I had the exact same thoughts today as I shipped off mine and a friends to the same address. I'm sure they're on the look out, and having tracking numbers on this end do help the worrying. Someone is going to be blessed with an extraordinary quilt with that Minky. Yum!!
