Goody- Goody binding bag.

Hi Friends, and welcome to my blog. I love finishing quilts, binding them that is. It is one of my favorite things about quilting. ...I can take them with me when we go away and work on them in the car, hotel rooms, and at Soccer fields.  Two- it is fairly mindless...just stitching and I don't have to worry about the pattern and am I doing it correct. Third...I am getting better with each quit that I finish. So when I saw the tutorial months ago on the Goody- Goody Binding bag. I knew I wanted to make one, But it had a zipper and I was not sure about the directions.
This weekend I gave it a try and in under a half a day I had the whole thing complete.

The inside of the bag.

Here is the center part of the binding bag. In the tutorial Lella of Lella Boutique  made a strawberry, I did no think that worked with my fabric, so I made a heart pocket for my scissors.

Above is the dreaded zipper pocket. You know what....it was not bad! The direction make it super easy.  It is a great spot to hold on to all your binding clips.

This is a pocket on the right side that is great for holding stuff, snacks, patterns, extra needles.

Tell me what you think...I love it and started using it right away, it was just what I needed for all my binding needs.

Until I see you again, wishing you all Quilty Hugs~ Heide

  3. This bag is great - and so good for carrying everything around for finishing the binding whilst on the go. Well done on the zipper - make sure you do a couple more straight away (even if they are just practise ones and you rip them out later) because it will really cement how to do them for you - they are really not that scary!

  6. It looks fabulous! Your fabric choices are just perfect and the zipper looks great! I have to admit to avoiding zippers like crazy. I'm glad it worked out so well for you.

  7. I love hand sewing my binding, too. I've been using a small pouch for my portable supplies, but after seeing a few of these Goody Goody bags, I just might have to take on another 3D project--not my strong suit. Great finish!
