Red, white and blue floral.

Hello my quilty friends. Hope you are all doing well and finding time to sew. As of now I have a visitor in town. My son is here and We are enjoying our time together. Boating, Fishing, playing board games. It is nice to have everyone together.  I did find a few minutes to get the last border on this quilt. I saw the Bee Patriotic quilt along with Lori Holt and thought the squares were super cute and I had the book Vintage Christmas.

This is one of my favorite blocks for the 12 that I made. I just love the fabrics. The fabric line I used was called Mackinaw Island by Minick and Simpson. Such a beautiful line, very hard to find. I bought a fat quarter about 3-4 months ago on line.

I was just tickled that I have the Vintage Chirstmas book and I could use it for something other than a Christmas quilt. Thinking outside of the box. I started to think, What about a Halloween quilt with orange and black fabrics?

A few close ups of my favorite blocks.

One last look at this fun Patriotic quilt.

Wishing all my quilty friends in the USA a very happy and safe 4th of July. If you would like to see more of these fun quilts be sure to check out #Beepatrioticsewalong on Instagram. I love how creative some people got with their blocks.
Until I see you again wishing you Quilty  Hugs~Heide

  1. SEW super sweet!! Your quilt top is filled with interesting blocks. Lucky me, a friend just bought that book (and might be willing to let me borrow it!)

  2. What a beautiful piece! Great idea to use Christmas patterns in red, white and blue instead of green and red. I love how the cornerstones float around the outside of all those gorgeous blocks :)
