Hello my quilty friends, so glad you could stop by. I have a new quilt to show you.
This is called Rah-Rah Rally and it is found in a older book called Sweet Celebrations with the Moda bake shop chefs( I found this copy on line). It has about 35 patterns in it but I fell in love with this one. My daughter is graduating this year and decided to play Soccer at the college she will be attending. So I needed something to cuddle up in while attending the games and to keep my warm in the cooler Michigan Falls as well as showing my school spirit.
I am thrilled with how this turned out.
I used wool batting for the first time and then had it backed in minky. Oh yea!!! Can you say toasty warm!
My friend did the embroidery for me on her embroidery machine. She also is my favorite quilter. Thanks Diane!
I am so happy how big this quilt is and nice and big 72 X 89. Big enough to wrap around your self but, I might just share it with my hubby while we are cheering on the Saints. Thanks for stopping by and until I See you again. Wishing you Quilty Hugs~Heide

Wow! It's so bright, fun and warm! That's a great pattern, too. Congrats on a neat finish :)
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt! Great idea for a soccer game.
ReplyDeleteHeide, this is perfect for showing team spirit and staying warm at the games. I wouldn't be surprised if you get lots of complements at the games and where did you get it questions :)
