Freestyle Turn Dash with a twist.

WOW!! Can you believe it is September all ready? Summer went fast and I did have some big quilting plans that never happened, so much quilting and so little time!
I do have a quick and easy quilt for you today, I just love how this looks.
My husband and I went up North this past holiday weekend, to visit my Sister at her new up north get away. I wanted to bring her a house warming gift, and what else do us quilter give.....a QUILT!

This is a super easy tutorial on MSQ. and my fabric is also from there, I picked it up during our visit this Summer. The fabric is called Citron Twist, and I used 1/2 of a layer cake as well as 4 white charm packs, and the board and binding are just about a yard each.

Of course I used yummy, super soft and irresistible minky for the back. Ohhhh......it is so soft! Great for cuddling under those colder winter days and read a book!

Last photo of the binding as well and boarder. The quilting is done by my friend Diane at Creative Stitching Services. The pattern is called Champagne bubble.
Thanks for stopping by and until I see you again.....Wishing you Quilty Hugs~ Heide

  2. A beautiful house warming gift, and I am sure a real treasure that will be loved and so appreciated. Lovely colours together, and a warm backing, extra good.

  3. What a wonderful house warming gift and I love that you added the minky to the back. I'm sure it will help insure that this quilt will be put to good snugly use.

  4. It's a beauty! Can you believe I've never made a churn dash quilt? I love this more modern look of the churn dash and I will get to it one of these days.
    Thanks for sharing.
