On the design table.

The holidays are over and now it, is time for the Winter dull drums. I always get the holiday let downs. All the bright sparkly lights gone and it's cold and the days are short but, not if you are quilting with bright fun colors!
I have 12 different colors, 6 squares of each and I still need to make my boarder, it is not a complete finish, but I did finish all the squares.  I am very nervous about cutting these to make them bounce as the pattern states. I put the breaks on and look at these daily just have not done anything yet.
Here is a closer look of the blue and greens.

All six of the colors together. I used Kaffe Fassett- paperweight. I LOVE the color and fabric. Super yummy colors.
Thanks for stopping by, would love to hear if any of you have made this pattern and how you finished it. Wishing you all quilty hugs. ~ Heide

  3. Loving those star blocks - especially in Paperweight - just can't beat Kaffe for great colours in his fabric designs!

  4. Love those cute little stars. I would probably have a hard time cutting them to bounce as well. Good luck!

  5. Those are such gorgeous blocks! I can see why you are resisting cutting into them.... They are perfect as they are! As a suggestion, you could add a strip to the blocks and then lay them out with that strip alternating in direction to "make them bounce". This would result in them being spaced out further and make for a larger quilt.

  6. I'm not a huge Kaffe fan, but have always loved this Paperweight design, and they look fantastic in your blocks! As Lorna said, rather than cutting up the blocks, I would add sashing to each one amnd cut that up, then if you're not happy you can take off the sashing, and you still have your blocks intact. Good luck!

  7. These are just beautiful, I'm not surprised you're reluctant to cut into them, and I have to say I hope you don't! I love them just as they are, and you're right, they are a perfect antidote to the post Holiday blues.
