Quick post for you this week, I got a little creative for some art work on my back porch area. I have been admiring ban quilt on Pintrest and decided to give one a try. This is just a board that I had in my basement and I used some craft paint that I had and Green Frog tape.
I first sketched a simple block pattern. Simple due to it being my first time.
taped it up in sections. Then added a few coats of paint.
I want to make a few more in different colors and patterns to hang up on the back porch.
Thanks for stopping by. Until I see you again Wishing you Quilty Hugs~ Heide
I love this, Heidi! Now I'm thinking about where I can put one (or more) up at my house!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Heidi! Making barn quilts can be very addictive :)
ReplyDeleteBarn quilts are so much fun. Yours looks wonderful Heide. My husband made one for me for Christmas but we haven't hung it up yet. (We keep thinking we'r going to have to move.)
ReplyDeleteLove it! I need to try this!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this Heide - I am looking for some outside art to hide a horrible fence so I may just borrow your idea if that's OK?! Is it undercover where you have hung it or have you made it weatherproof?
ReplyDeleteOh lovely. You are so clever, I can't draw for toffee, that extends to painting straight lines, or anything involving pencils or paints, but I do love to see the work of others. Thank you for sharing.

I want to make one for my front entrance, I must set aside the time and do it. You did a great job on your first one.
