A little Hocus-pocus and a Halloween give away.

Hello my quilty friends, Hope you are all doing well. I am, just tired since I have been back to work.

Today I have my Hocus Pocus quilt. I just love how this turned out. I followed the pattern for this quilt and got the fabric bundle and pattern from  Simple stitches Fabric shop ( they have lots a cute kits).

The one thing that bothered me  was the gray fabric in the bundle, I do not have gray in my house. I knew I wanted to charge the gray to teal and that is just what I did.  I just love how it turned out!

The teal just pops with the orange and black.

I took this to a local quilting shop and  I am super happy with the quilting. I reminds me of pumpkin vines.

I had a left over piece of orange minky to use on the back. You can really see the quilting on the back.

You can also see the checked binding.

Here is a view of the whole back .

I have to give a shout out to my quilt holder. Thanks Ken, for being patient with me! The first set of photo were to dark. So we had to do another photo shoot .

I just think the little black stars are super cute!

Now for the give away, I had bought the pattern at a shop earlier this year knowing I wanted to make it. When I got my quilt kit it too had a pattern in it. So I have two patterns, one I will keep and one I will give to a lucky reader ( US only, Sorry) on Nov 10.

All you have to do is leave a comment. So tell your friends!

Until I see you again, wishing you Quilty Hugs~ Heide

  1. The teal is super with the oranges, love it all, Great bonus pattern , postage anywhere is so high now and takes SO long, I'm sure the US recipient will be so happy . I have recently looked at a pattern that is paper pieced, and to pay for the pattern then the postage is way too much for me to justify it at all.

  9. The difference between using the gray as shown in the pattern and your choice of teal is amazing. The teal makes the orange look as if it's glowing. Love the minky on the back.
