Fall banner.

Hello....Can you believe it is October already!! It has been a bit rainy in my neck of the world...this is day 3 of rain and the crisp days and nights have creeped in on us. Broke out the sweaters and jackets.
I have a finish for you that is fitting for this time of the year.
This is the view when you come in from my garage, I have a beige cabinet in my mudroom and I thought it needed a little something. At first this was going to be a table runner for my dinning room table but, I liked it here much better!
I have used some Fat quarters in the autumn colors that I had in my stash along with a graphic print that was also in my stash.
Here is a view of the quilting that I did on this project. I started quilting close together and gradually got farther apart.
Here are the leaves at the top of the banner.
Here is a better view of the quilting. I used some left over pieces to make the binding and added a hidden sleeve in the back to put a dowel so I could hang this and I think it ads just the look I wanted to brighten us the view when entering the house.

Just to show you this was my inspiration, it is such a beautiful little tree in reds and oranges. You can also see how dreary it has been here the last few days. Looking forward to some sunny changes soon!
Thanks for stopping by and until I see you again wishing you Quilty Hugs~ Heide

  2. This is such a pretty finish. I haven't got to the stage where I have seasonal wall hangings although I really do want them!

  3. I love fall pieces. The colors of the leaves changing are so pretty. The beautiful runner is sure to brighten your day ever time you pass through the area.
