Hand 2 Help- Swoon.

Hello and Welcome. Todays Quilt is for The Hand 2 Help Charity Quilt Challenge.  Sarah over at Confessions of a Fabric addict  is having a show your progress today. If you do not know about this project your can read more about it here.  I had to show off my quilt- Swoon.

For my quilt I made I used the pattern called Swoon by Carmille Roskelley ( Thimble Blossoms). The Fabric is Feed Company by Moda.

I have a sweet story to share and this is why I decided too join Hand 2 Help Charity Quilt Challenge.
A few years back my dear Mother in Law was in Hospice due to colon cancer and we did not think she was going to make it. While she was in Hospice she received a quilt, she love this quilt, the colors were bright and cheerful and she keep telling us that she gets to keep it! Well, it has been 3 year since my MIL was in Hospice, She did make it out of Hospice and even made it back home for a while and she got to enjoy her quilt for quit a while. Now that she is gone, I noticed when we are visiting my father in Law...He has the quilt on the bed, I guess it is his way to stay close to my MIL. It makes me smile that he is cherishing this quilt.   I knew that I too wanted to give someone something that helped remind them of their loved one.
Thanks for stopping by and until I see you again wishing you Quilty Hugs~ Heide

  1. Wow. This is just lovely. Swoon is one of my favorite designs. However,I've only made one swoon block, for the center of a medalion quilt. It was a lot of work, and not exactly easy. So I know the effort you put into this beauty. And such pretty fabrics! This is a quilt I'd be very tempted to keep for myself. You are so very generous to give it away. It will certainly be cherished. Your story made me smile, too!
