Fall Placemats

Hello my friends. Today I have some fun little projects for you. A friend of mine loves my quilting, yet she doesn't quilt. She is very crafty and I know she could do it, we just live too far apart for me to help her.

Well the other day she asked me for some fall place mats. I came up with these. I only made two and two more are on the way. We are doing a barter system for these. She sell Pampered chef and I am getting an Air fryer for the place-mats. I also sent her a turkey pillow cover...SHHHH, that's a surprise!

I was thinking of making the next two place mats brown and green or brown and orange. Not sure yet. This is my own hodge podged pattern. I got the leaf from HERE. I used my perfect geese paper templates for the flying geese. These templates make flying geese perfect every time! No wonky geese. The fabric is all from my stash, I did not have to buy anything.

Perfect tips on the geese!

I just love how these turned out. They look perfect on my table, LOL! I know my friend is going to love them. She should get the delivery today.

I used a left over backing that I had used for another quilt.

I just love how these turned out and hope to get a few for my table before the winter winds blow in.

Here is a peek of the Turkey pillow cover that I made and sent as an extra. I can not find the finished photo.

This is a pattern by Kristina Brinkerhoff Of Center Street quilts. She did a QAL in September.

That is what is happening over here. Hope you are finding time to do the things you enjoy. Until I see you again, Wishing you Quilty Hugs~ Heide

  2. Those placemats are lovely. It definitely makes a difference using foundation piecing to make the leaf shapes - they look so real!
